My story. I made the mistake many riders do and jumped from an slow and poor handling cruiser motorcycle to a Honda CBR 1000. I will tell you the experience was scary as hell. However after a few days I started to get the hang of all the power. I loved the nimble sweet handling. The power and handling was addictive. I will never go back to a heavy slow motorcycle again. I started riding the CBR more and more on longer trips. Crossing three states in a day is a real rush. I did notice the sticky rubber would wear too quick, as I was buying cheap sport-bike tires like every five months. I did learn a trick though. Buy sport-touring motorcycle tires instead. The harder compound rubber does not stick as well, but good enough since I am not racing. The touring treads do last twice as long, and I am very happy with that.
